Obituary of Camille Joseph Frank Gallant
The death occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B. on Friday, June 23rd, 2023 of Camille Joseph Frank Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 73 years. Camille was born in St. Hubert, P.E.I. to the late Gus and Pearl (nee Pellerin) Gallant.
Beloved husband of Jean (nee McArthur) Gallant and loving father of Robert of Summerside, Travis (Kristine) of Summerside, and Kevin (Tiffany) of St. Lawrence. Also lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren Jack, Tate, Hayden, Lilyanne, Emma, Kingston, Arden, & Jackson and numerous brother & sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Evelyn Shaw of Summerside, Leona Shaw of Kensington, Amanda (Ceo) Richard of Grand River, Teresa (Nelson) McArthur of Fox Creek, AB., Victor (Lisa) Gallant of Inverness, Vince (Debbie) of Summerside, Nettie Belliveau of St. Timothy, and Ovila of Abrams -Village, also by his loving aunt Anne.
Predeceased by his sister Betty Shaw, an infant brother Leonce and two sisters at birth.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, June 29th for a funeral service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Richmond at a later date. Memorial donations in Camille’s memory to the funeral expense fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m.
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
