Obituary of Joseph Theodore Gallant
With heavy hearts, surrounded by his family at Prince County Hospital, Summerside. Joseph Pierre (Joe T) Gallant died very peacefully on Sunday, June 11th, 2023 at the age of 88 years. Born on July 7th, 1934. He was the son of the late Theodore and Denise (nee Arsenault) Gallant.
He was a devoted husband to Alice (nee Gallant) Gallant and loving father to Cecil (Tammy), Paul (Diane), Dennis, Beverly (Kent) Marchbank, Victor, Elsie (David), and Tania (Stephen) Paynter. He will be lovingly remembered by his 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Joseph was beloved by his sisters and brothers Sophie Richard, Theresa Bonnanfant. Andre, Peter (Ruth), Martin, Augustin. Joseph was predeceased by his parents and his eldest son Cecil Wilfred Gallant, also by his sisters Julie Anne Arsenault, Marie Anne Gallant, and brothers Antonin, Arthur, and brothers-in-law Amand Gallant, Arsene Arsenault, Sylvain Richard, and Camille Bonnanfant. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside until Thursday, June 15th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Internment to take place in the People’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday on June 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to the Cancer Society.
