Obituary of Billy Hepditch
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William (Billy) Anthony Hepditch at his home on June 6 in Bedeque, PEI at the age of 58.
Growing up in Cape Tormentine, NB, he was the son of the late William Hepditch and Leanice Hepditch Johnston. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Catherine Rogers and children Christopher (Edmonton, AB), Cheryl (Rogers) Ronald Scott, Upper Rawdon, NS, Anthony, William and Benjamin of Bedeque, PEI.
He will be missed by his 3 siblings, Patrick (Tracey) Hepditch, Cape Tormentine, NB, Annamarie (Hepditch) Brian Boyd, Murray Corner, NB and David (Tammy) Hepditch, Woodside, NB,
He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren, Chloe and Nate Rogers, Jordan Rogers and Hailey Scott.
Billy will also be remembered and missed by all of the Rogers family and his step Mom in law Carole Macfarlane and step-father Robert Johnston.
Besides his father he was predeceased by his infant daughter Eliza Dawn.
Billy played a significant role in the lives of his nephews and nieces and they will remember him always.
He is fondly remembered by his Aunts, Uncles and numerous cousins who knew him as Billy Boy.
He has been cremated and will be laid to rest in the family plot in Melrose, NB with his Dad and Daughter on Friday, June 16 at a private Graveside service at 1:00pm. The family welcomes everyone to join them at the Cape Tormentine Branch 81 legion following his interment.
Billy will be remembered by all as a hard worker and a kind decent man.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
