It is with deep sadness we say farewell to Frederick Hodge our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Uncle, aged 91 years. Born in Savage Cove, NL Dec 12/1931. Left behind is his loving wife of 66 years Joan Hodge and his daughter Cinderella (Dr. John) Sampson and his son Glenn (Lise) Hodge. He had a wonderfully close relationship with his 3 grandchildren; Ryan (Yuki) and Mark Sampson and Natalie (Matt) Hodge. He has also left behind many nieces and nephews and their families who loved him dearly.

He was predeceased by his mother and father James and Elizabeth Hodge and his siblings; Cinderella, Stanley, Clayton and James Hodge.

He then joined Maritime Central Airways for a short time and then the Canadian Air Force. After retiring from the service he taught Electronics at Holland College in Summerside until his retirement. He was always ready to help anyone with construction and renovations projects giving him and Joan the nickname “The Beavers”. An avid golfer for many years he also enjoyed a good game of cards and socializing with friends and family. He has left a legacy of wonderful storytelling and generosity and kindness to all who knew and loved him. His many devoted friends and family will miss him.
