Obituary of Armand Joseph Arsenault
The death occurred peacefully with family and friends by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday, May 8th, 2023 of Armand Joseph Arsenault of Summerside, aged 81 years. Armand was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to the late Jean-Marc and Elva (Richard) Arsenault.
Beloved husband of the late Janeen (Moore) Arsenault and loving father of Chris (Dianne), Tracy (Michael) Wilson. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Matthew Arsenault, Michael Arsenault, Sarah Wilson and Brandon Wilson and great granddaughter Brynlee.
Survived by his sisters Nancy (Joe) Lawless and Betty (Paul) MacAusland, brothers and sisters in-law David (Marion) Moore, Wendy (Dayre) Chappell, Bruce (Sandy) Moore and Barry (Darlene) Moore.
Predeceased by his grandson Morgan Arsenault.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside Visiting hours on Thursday May 11th, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial Donations in Armand’s memory to the PEI Humane Society, PEI Kidney Foundation or PEI Diabetes Program would be greatly appreciated. A private funeral service will be held.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
