Obituary of Norma Mary Hashie
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday, May 1st, 2023 of Norma Mary Campbell) Hashie of Summerside, aged 76 years. Norma was born in Bedeque, P.E.I. to the late John and Mary (Arsenault) Campbell.
Beloved wife of 55 years to Edward Hashie and loving mother of Mary (Mike) Banks, Ricky Hashie, Anne-Marie Hashie (Darren Morrison), Danny Hashie (Christine Verge), Nick Hashie (Marsha Foley). Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren James, Ryan, Shawn, Stephanie, Angela, Hallie, Scott, Taylor, Riley, Kimberley, Megan, Kayla, Kandice, Kayla, Paige and Skye and by her 21 great grandchildren.
Survived by her sister Stella Ramsay. Predeceased by her brother Robert “Bobby” Campbell and brother in-law Gordon Ramsay.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, May 4th, 2023 then to St. Paul’s Church for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Norma’s memory to St. Paul’s Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
