Obituary of Kenny Walsh
On Monday, March 20th, 2023, Kenneth Joseph "Kenny" Walsh, of Summerside, aged 71 years, passed away peacefully at Prince County Hospital surrounded by family. He was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to the late Cletus and Helen (Clow) Walsh.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Sheila (MacDonald) and children Kent (Sandra), Mike (Sheila). He was predeceased by daughter Jeannie. Kenny cherished his grandchildren Zak (Sarah), Leksy, Kira, Abigail, and Brooklyn. Beloved brother of Betty (Jerry) Clermont, Donna Rodriguez, Gary (Debbie), Lenny, Billy (Faye), Cathie (Wendell) Ramsay, and Susan Walsh (Brian Chappell). As well as many nieces and nephews.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, March 24th, 2023 where a memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Kenny’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday from 12:30 p,m. until the time of service.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
