Obituary of Kenny Davis
The death occurred with grace and dignity on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 of Kenneth “Kenny” Ernest Davis of Summerside, aged 70 years, comforted and held by his loving family. Kenny was born in Kensington, P.E.I. on a stormy day to the late Ernest and Minnie (Gill) Davis.
Beloved husband of Paulette Richard and loving father of Cathy (Shane) Campbell, Patty and David (Belinda). He will be greatly missed by Paulette’s children Monique (Randy) Steele, Michelle (Allen) Gaudet and Denny (Andrea) Richard. Kenny cherished his 15 grandchildren Sarah, Matthew, Kyle, Kristin, Carissa, Hailey, Emily, Noah, Savannah, Victor, Tristan, Alex, Josh, Liam and Kate.
Survived by his brothers Bill (Sandra), Kevin (Jane), Greg (Tina), half-sister Rose Lewis, brother-in-law Charlie Barlow, the MacKenzie family and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by the mother of his children Judith (MacKenzie) Davis and his sister Elizabeth Barlow.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday March 13th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 p.m. Interment to take place in the Malpeque Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Kenny’s memory to PCH Foundation or Palliative Home Care Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
