Obituary of Shawn Wayne Moores
The death occurred peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 of Shawn Wayne Moores of Summerside, aged 56 years.
Shawn was born in Scarborough, ON. to Wayne and the late Ruby (Noye) Moores. Beloved husband of Tammy (Getson) Moores and loving father of Jessica, Paige and Eva Moores. Survived by his stepmother Winnie, sister Keshia, mother-in-law Gale Getson, sister in-law Terry (Carl) Lewis, brother in-law Kevin Getson, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Predeceased by his brother Dean, grandparents Milfred and Myrtle (Harvey) Noye, Franklyn and Eleanor (Davis) Moores and father in-law Robert Carscadden. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
