Obituary of Campbell, Melinda Ann
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected death of Melinda Ann Campbell at the age of 60, on Friday September 30, 2022, peacefully, at her late residence in Summerside, PE.
Melinda was born in Summerside to Norma (Willis) Silliker and the Late Ernest Cormier. Beloved spouse of Owen Wedge. Melinda will be greatly missed by her brothers and sisters Nancy (Aurele) Arsenault, Summerside, Cathy (Sonny) Coughlin, Conway, Peter (Jennifer) Cormier, Kensington, Mary-Louise (Felix) Richard, Summerside, Carolyn (Donnie) Gaudet, O’Leary, Susan (Darren) Arsenault, Summerside, Wade (Roger) Cormier, New Brunswick, his step-daughter Michelle (Chad) Cabot, 2 step-grandchildren, and special Godson Thomas Richard, also many nieces, nephews and extended Wedge and Silliker Families.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her sister Judy (Clint) Phillips and brother Raymond J. Cormier in infancy.
Melinda spent the past 21 years working for the Horticultural Division for the City of Summerside. She had a great passion and dedication for her work, which she took great pride in. Maintaining flowerbeds was her favourite past-time, both at work and at home.
Melinda cherished her family, friends and co-workers, and she will be greatly missed.
Visiting Hours are 1:00 – 3:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday October 6, 2022 resting at East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s Church, Summerside at 11:00am Friday October 7, 2022, immediately following with interment at People's Cemetery on McEwen Rd. Memorial donations in Melinda’s memory to the Funeral Expense Fund would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
