Obituary of Simpson, Norman Alton
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, September 4th, 2022 of Norman Alton Simpson of Summerside, aged 89 years. Norman was born in Bayview, P.E.I. to the late Cecil and Leona (McLure) Simpson.
Beloved husband of Linda (Vanderveen) Simpson and loving father of Debbie Graham, Kathy (Marty) MacKay, Kevin (deceased), stepfather to Greg and Peter (Laura), Neil (deceased) Vanderveen and daughter in-law Rose Simpson. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Michael, Melanie, Christine, Angela, Heather, Sophie and Coby, his 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Survived by his sister Lois Crossman, brother Maynard (Audrey) Simpson, sister’s in-law Hilda and Joan Simpson and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Ruth Zeeben, Merrill, Vernon and Miriam (Infancy) and his brother in-law Alden Crossman.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, September 10th, then to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu, of flowers donations in Norman’s memory to the Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
