Obituary of Gallant, Mary "Theresa"
The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday July 19th, 2022 of Mary “Theresa” Gallant (Perry) of Summerside, aged 94 years. Theresa was born in Summerside to the late John B. and Suzanne Perry (Gallant).
Loving mother of Nova Pate, Lillian DesRoches, Susan Bell (Leroy Jeffery), Donna (Earl) DesRoches, Norma (Claude) Arsenault and stepson Elmer (Janice) Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Lilly Savoie, Shirley Lefler, John (Diane) Perry, Elmer (Marie) Perry, sisters in-law Sheila and Ethel Perry and several
nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her daughter Gloria (infancy), Norman Sonier (Father of her children), her husband Edward Gallant, sisters Marie Harvie and Nola Walter, brothers Francis, Laurence, James “Babe”, Henry, Charlie and Joe.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday July 25th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s cemetery. Memorial donations in Theresa’s memory can be made to the PEI Alzheimer’s Society. Visiting hours on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
