Obituary of McInnis, Mary Helen
McInnis : The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor,Summerside, on Thursday ,February 10 , 2005 of Mary Helen McInnis (nee McCarville)of Summerset Manor and formerly of Building 4L, Linden Ave. S'Side age 93 years. Born in Borden-Carleton , she was the beloved wife of the late Earl McInnis. Loving mother of Patricia (Paul) Cioffie, Medford, Mass., Allan (Marjorie) Summerside, and Joanne (Charlie) Tiedemann, Amherst N.H. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren,and by her sisters-in-law Clarissa McCarville, Borden-Carleton and Evangeline McInnis, Charlottetown. Besides her husband Earl, she was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Lillian (Kelley) McCarville, her brothers: Amos,Aden, Chester, Harold and Roy, and her sisters Rita Daley (her twin sister), Georgina McCarville, Theresa Fisher and Myrtle McCarville . Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, then to St. Paul's Church Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. . Interment to take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Memorial donations in Helen's memory to the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund or to a society of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday, 2- 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
