Power : The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 of James ( Jimmy ) Power of 69 Kelly Dr., Miscouche aged 56 years. Beloved husband of Linda ( nee Baglole ) Power. Loving father of Chad ( Laurie ) of Miscouche and grandfather of Shelby Lynn. Survived by his brothers Arnold ( Betty ) of Miscouche and George of S'side and his sisters Mary ( Ernie ) Clow of Slemon Park and Florence ( Richard ) Arsenault of S'side. Predeceased by his parents Emmett and Maude ( nee Connick ) Power. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 A.M.. Interment to take place at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley at a later date. Memorial donations in Jimmy's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated . Visiting hours on Thursday evening only, 7 - 9 P.M.. ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
