Obituary of Perry, Myrtle Lila
Perry : The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital,Summerside on Friday, March 18th, 2005 of Myrtle Lila Perry of Summerside and formerly of Seven Mile Bay, aged 58 years. Beloved daughter of the late Charles & Annie ( nee MacIntyre ) Perry. Loving sister of Edith ( Dwayne Paynter ) of S'side and Ruth Perry of S'side. Also lovingly remembered by her niece Jennifer Perry and her grand-niece Sara-Lynn Perry. Predeceased by her brother Howard and her special friend Harold Warren. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay for funeral mass at 1:30 P.M.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Myrtle's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated . Visiting hours on Sunday , 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M..

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
