Obituary of Reeves, Eleanor Pauline
Reeves : The death occurred at the Hamilton General Hospital, Hamilton, Ont. on Thursday April 28, 2005, of Eleanor Pauline (nee Johnson) Reeves of Brantford Ontario and formerly of Lot 16 , aged 71 years. Dear wife of the late Walter Scott Reeves Jr.,Pauline is survived by her mother Ruth Johnson, Summerside, her daughters: Linda (Bill) Allen, Brantford On, Elizabeth (Bob) Hardwick, Waterford Ont, and Esther (Phil) Dumas, Yellowknife N.W.T., and by seven grandchildren, their spouses and by nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her aunt Gertrude Webster, Summerside, her sister Lillian (Miller) MacLean, Charlottetown, and by her brothers: Allison (Thelma) Johnson, Lot 16, and Kenneth (Pam) Johnson, Brechin, Ont. She is also survived by a very special friend Bill Albus, Florida, USA, and by her former husband Norman Reeves, Ross' Corner, P.E.I. and by many relatives, friends and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Aage S. Johnson and by her son-in-law Constable Emmanuel Aucoin. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Monday for funeral service at the funeral home chapel at 10:30 AM. Interment to take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Memorial donations in Pauline's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours Sunday 7-9 PM only.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
