Obituary of Coughlin, Kenneth Chester

Coughlin : The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital,Summerside on Wednesday, June 15th,, 2005 of Kenneth Chester Coughlin of the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside and formerly of 745 Flamingo Dr., Summerside in his 84th year. Kenneth was born in Howlan, P.E.I. on June 21st, 1921and was a veteran of World War II. Dear husband of Jennie( nee Smallman ) Coughlin and loving father of Glenda Coughlin of S'side. Also lovingly remembered by his aunt Doris Reeves of St.Eleanors along with numerous nieces ,nephews, and cousins. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Lucy Smith of S'side, Everett ( Olive) of S'side, Elvin ( Joan )of Trenton, Ont., Bannie ( Freda ) of Wilmot Valley, Jesse ( Diann) of Abbottsford, B.C., Naomi Coughlin of Rustico, and Gilmour (Rose ) of S'side. Predeceased by his parents Charles & Lorena ( nee Mitchell ) Coughlin , his brothers Russell and William, and his sister-in-law Marjorie Coughlin. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 P.M.. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Kenneth's memory to the Summerside-Rotary Library or the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated . By family request, there will be a private visitation on Friday evening only, 7 - 9 P.M.. Comrades of the George R. Pearkes, V.C. Branch # 5, Royal Canadian Legion, Summerside will hold a Service of Remembrance for their late comrade on Friday evening at 6:45 P.M. Due to severe allergies of some family members, please no flowers, perfumes, or colognes at the visitation or funeral service.
