Obituary of Steeves, Emery Lloyd
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Prince County
Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, June 28th, 2005 of Emery Lloyd Steeves of
Borden-Carleton, aged 67 years. Beloved husband of Helen Steeves ( nee Love ).
Loving father of Cindy ( Barry ) Waite of Summerside and Greg ( Stephanie ) of Cape
Traverse. Also lovingly remembered by his grandsons Andrew and Brandon Waite.
Survived by his brother Douglas of Hopewell Hill, N.B. and his sisters Ruth ( Charles )
Smith of Simcoe, Ont. and Grace ( Everett ) Branscombe of Cornhill, N.B..
Predeceased by his parents Lloyd & Bessie ( nee Duffy ) Steeves and his sister Irene
( Norman ) McAllister. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Rd.,
Summerside until Friday, for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 A.M. .
Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donation's in
Emery's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the P.E.I. Hospice
Association ( East Prince Division ) would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on
Thursday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M.. Members of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge # 15 will
hold a masonic service on Thursday evening at 6:45 P.M. at the funeral home.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
