Obituary of Gallant, John Albert
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Friday, September 2nd , 2005 of John Albert Gallant of 223 Foundry St.,Summerside,aged 73 years. Beloved son of the late Mack & Angeline ( nee Caissie ) Gallant. and foster son of the late Thomas and Lillian MacDonald.
Survived by his sisters Reta DesRoches of Borden-Carleton, Bella Chaisson of Stoney Creek, Ont. and his brother Frank ( Una ) of S'side. Also lovingly remembered by his foster sisters Carmelita Rix of Kensington, Bernice Lockhart of S'side, Mary Kelly of Kensington, his foster brother J.D. MacDonald of Cold Lake, Alta. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Ernest, Elmer, and George, his sister Ida, his foster sister Debbie DesRoches and his foster brother John Richards.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay for funeral mass at 2:00 P.M. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in John's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
