Obituary of Hunter, Preston Sinclaire
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Prince
County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday, September 24th , 2005 of Preston Sinclaire Hunter of Baltic, aged 64 years. Preston was born in Indian River on December 20th , 1940.
Beloved husband of Linda ( nee Folland ) Hunter and loving father of Shelley Lea ( Paul ) Hunter-Roach of Calgary, Alta., Troy ( Sherri ) of Kincardine, Ont. and Patricia Hunter ( Kevin ) of Owen Sound, Ont. Also lovingly remembered by his mother Rosie Brown of Meaford, Ont., his sisters Velma Owen of St. Eleanors and Olive ( Harold ) Bryanton of Hampshire, P.E.I. , his brother Elwood ( Marjorie ) of Chatsworth, Ont., along with his 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his father Erskine Hunter.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday for a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 P.M.. No visiting hours by personal request.Memorial donations in Preston's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
