Gallant: The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday, September 24th , 2005 of Everett John Gallant of 644 South Drive, Summerside. age 82 years. Veteran of World War #2. Everett was born in Piusville on August 19th , 1923. Beloved husband of Edna (nee Gallant) Gallant and loving father of Dennis (Gloria), Maria (Robert) Gallant, Sheila (Donald) Perry, Elaine Gallant, all of S'Side, Nancy (Nelson) MacKinnon, Grand River, Ivan (Vivian), S'Side,Brian, S'Side, and Dwayne (Denise), New Annan, and also lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren,5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Nancy Williams, Dieppe N.B. and his brothers and sisters: Lawrence, Elmer, Edmund, and Edgar, all of Ontario, Bernice (Jackie) Gallant,Piusville, Delma (Al) Gallant, Walter, Ontario and Mildred ( Vic ), Nova Scotia Predeceased by his parents Cyrus and Elizabeth (Gallant) Gallant, his son Austin and his brother Alfred. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:00 A.M. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Everett's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Paul's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Comrades of Miscouche Branch # 18, Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance for their late comrade on Monday at 6:45 PM at the funeral home.
