Obituary of Culleton, Ivan Edward
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday, September 25th , 2005 of 'Ivan' Edward Culleton of 403 Chelsie Court Summerside , age 67 years. Ivan was born in Portage P.E.I. on September 24th 1938.
Beloved husband of Aldona (nee Biggar) Culleton and father of Wayne (Debbie), Eric, Shelley (Colin) Cowan, Wanda Culleton, Deannea (Blaine) Culleton, Heather Culleton, Connie (Linus) Arsenault, Ivan (Nola), and Joshua (Sarah). Loving grandfather of Nicole, Tyler, Alicia, Michelle, Jonathan, Cody, Jerry, Larry, Chance and Ivan and great-grandfather of Michele and Andrea and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers Harold, Raymond (Reby), Ronald 'Bud' (Ruby), and Fred Culleton, his brother-in-law James DesRoches, his sisters-in-law Marge Culleton and Betty Anne (Harvey) Jeffrey and his special friend, Jerry Cowan (Ontario).
He was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Nettie (Coughlin) Culleton, his sisters Jean DesRoches, Minerva MacKinnon and Wanda Etherington, his brother Albert Culleton, his father-in-law Elliot Biggar.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday for funeral service at the funeral home chapel at 10:00 A.M. . Interment to take place in the Peoples Cemetery Summerside. Memorial donations in Ivan's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Flowers gratefully declined. Visiting hours on Tuesday 7-9 P.M. only.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
