Obituary of Perry, Edna Mary

The death occurred peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Friday, October 14th , 2005 of Edna Mary Perry ( nee Gallant ) of 77 Water St., Summerside and formerly of Freetown, aged 84 years. Edna was born in Palmer Road, P.E.I. on May 2nd , 1921 to her parents Sosime and Julia ( nee Arsenault ) Gallant. Beloved wife of the late Edward Perry and also her first husband , the late Joseph Henry Gaudet. Loving mother of Noreen ( Leo ) Pineau of Halifax, N.S., Claude Gaudet of Connecticut, U.S.A., Kevin ( Margaret ) Gaudet of Kinkora, Gordon ( Helen ) Gaudet of Freetown and step-mother of Wayne( Beth ) Perry of Edmonton, Alta. and Louis Perry of S'side. Also lovingly remembered by her 7 grandchildren, her 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces,nephews, brothers & sisters-in-law. Survived by her sisters Denise DesRoches and Alice Perry of Palmer Road. Predeceased by her son Nelson Gaudet and her brothers and sisters: Ida, Mary Ann, Peter, Phillip, Olive, Joseph, and Ernest. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home,245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday for funeral mass at St. Paul's Church,Summerside at 10:30 A.M.. Interment to take place in St. James Cemetery, Summerfield. Memorial donations in Edna's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
