Obituary of Yeo, Charles Horace
Yeo: The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Summerset Manor, Summerside on Sunday, November 6th, 2005 of Charles Horace Yeo of Summerset Manor and formerly of 256 Greenwood Drive, Summerside, aged 89 years. He was born in Central Lot 16 on March 19, 1916. Dear husband of the late Lillian (nee Forbes) Yeo.
Dear father of Ralph (Anke), Summerside and Bruce (Marsha), Bedford, NS. and grandfather of Dennis, Spencer, Elliot, Chelsea and Leighton. He is also survived by his sister Mae Inman, Charlottetown and his brother Larry of Summerside. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law: Helen Lyle, Mary(Heath) Houston, Barbara (Bob) Baldwin, and Doris (Lloyd) Frost and his brothers-in-law: Wilfred (Miriam) nd James Forbes and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Birchfield and Annie (Monkley) Yeo.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday for memorial service at Trinity United Church Summerside at 11:00AM. Memorial donations in Charles' memory to the Palliative Care Unit of Prince County Hospital or to the Lot 16 Methodist Cemetery Fund would be appreciated. Visiting hours Monday 6:30-9:00 Only. ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
