Obituary of Freitag, Linda Jean
The death occurred of Linda Jean (nee Cooke) Freitag, in the early morning on Sunday March 28th 2021, at the Summerset Manor in Summerside, P.E.I. Linda was born in 1945 in O'Leary P.E.I. to her late parents Hillis and Shirley (nee Gorrill) Cooke.
Beloved wife of Arno Freitag and left to mourn are her four children Darren (Melinda) MacLean, Sonia (Marc) Beddoe, Cindy Freitag and Esther (Dave) Perkins. Survived by her siblings Brenda Cooke, Ronald Cooke, Debbie (Terry) Drysdale and Darrell (Cheryl) Cooke. Lovingly remembered by six grandchildren Emily, Matthew, Dyllan, Samantha, Mason and Esme, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Norma.
Linda married Arno in 1982 in Ontario. In 1997 they moved to North Bedeque to open the "Art Gallery Bed and Breakfast" on McMurdo Road. Linda loved sewing, crocheting, upholstering and also had a successful wallpapering business during her time in Ontario. But most of all Linda loved country music. She played the guitar and learned at the Summerside Community School to play her father's fiddle. The family would like to thank the loving care that was extended to Linda during her stay at the Summerset Manor.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
