Obituary of Cameron, Gladys Edele
Cameron : The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Friday, December 16th , 2005 of Gladys Edele Cameron (nee Corney) of Wellington Station, aged 92 years. Gladys was born in Summerside, P.E.I. on April 12, 1913, the daughter of the late Samuel George and Emma Jane (Waye) Corney.
Dear wife of the late Angus Cameron and loving mother of Geraldine (Wallace) Beaton, Kentville NS, Joy (Albern) Betts, Scarborough Ont, Juanita Cameron, Scarborough, Virginia Davison,Wellington Station, and Gregory (Faye), Kentville NS. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Ellen, Wally, Greg, Heather, Danny, Amy, Jim, Angus, Tracey, Cindy, and Heather and 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Gladys is also survived by her brother Russell Corney.
She was predeceased by her sons: Sonny and Joey, her brothers and sisters: Gordon, Arthur, Hazel Peterson, Sydney, Earle, Amy, May MacMillan, Elma Drinkwater, Fred, Stella Pike, Muriel Smith and Ray.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday , then to Immaculate Conception Church Wellington for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Gladys' memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
