Obituary of Gallant, Marion Jean
The death occurred at the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth N.S. on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 of Marion Jean (nee McMillan) Gallant aged 86 years. Jean was born in Miscouche P.E.I. on July 29, 1919 to her parents the late Louis and Fanny (Burke) McMillan.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her sons Eric (Diane), Montreal and Blair (Betty), Dartmouth N.S.. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Patrick, Jerome, and Connie, her great-grandchildren Alexander and Carolyn all of Montreal, and by her special sister-in-law Peggy McMillan of Miscouche.
She was predeceased by her brother Joseph McMillan and her sister Margaret Rice.
A memorial mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche on Friday March 10th at 2:00 PM. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
