Obituary of Gallant, Joseph Bismark
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital,Summerside on Thursday, May 25th , 2006 of Joseph Bismark Gallant of 314 Jennifer St., Summerside , aged 78 years. Veteran of the Korean War. Joseph was born in Summerside on August 10th , 1927 to his parents, the late Garfield & Agnes ( nee MacDonald ) Gallant.
Beloved father of Daniel of S'side, Sybil MacDonald of Ten Mile House and Sylvia of Boston, U.S.A..Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Randy and Brandy Gallant.Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Michael , his grandson Daniel and his brother John Garfield Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 A.M.. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery,Summerside .
Memorial donations in Joseph's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. Comrades of the George R. Pearkes, V.C.Branch # 5, Royal Canadian Legion, Summerside will hold a Service of Remembrance on Sunday evening at the funeral home at 6: 45 P.M. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
