Obituary of Green, Laura N.
Green: The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday , December 16, 2006, of Laura Green ( nee Stewart ) , of 130 Kirk St. Summerside and formerly of St. Eleanors , aged 73 years.
Laura was born in Wellington, P.E.I. on December 6th , 1933, to her parents, the late Ervil & Hazel (nee Campbell) Stewart. Dear wife of Tommy Green and loving mother of Patsy Gaudet, Summerside and Barry (Linda) Green of Brantford Ont. and grandmother of Jeremy Gaudet of Summerside.
She is also survived by her sisters Annie MacCormack, Belleville Ont., Josephine Lewis, Calgary Ab. and Betty (Alfred) Cormier, Summerside and by several nieces and nephews. Laura was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Carl and James Stewart, her sisters Mae Barlow and Agnes Green and by
her brothers-in-law David MacCormack and James Lewis.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, December 20th , for funeral service at the Church of the Nazarene Summerside at 11:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Laura's memory to the Canadian Diabetic Association would be greatly appreciated . ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
