Obituary of Gallant, Emmanuel Alyre
Gallant: The death occurred suddenly at his late residence, Miscouche on Sunday,January 28th 2007, of Emmanuel 'Alyre' Gallant of 18 Lady Slipper Drive, Miscouche and formerly of Puisville, aged 64 years. Alyre was born in Puisville PEI on October 4th 1942 to his parents Peter F. and Louise (Arsenault) Gallant.
He is survived his brother and sisters: Anita Chaisson, Toronto, Yvonne (Elmer) Arsenault, Miscouche, Pearle (Ed) MacDonald, Cascumpec, Anne Doucette, Hampshire, Edmund (Evelyn), Summerside, and Joan (Wayne) MacGuigan, North River and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Vincent, and by his brother-in-law Leo Chaisson.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. until Thursday for funeral mass at St. Paul's Church, Summerside at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9. Interment later in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Memorial donations in Alyre's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
