Obituary of Gallant, Joseph " Frank "
?The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday,May 13th, 2007 of Joseph 'Frank' Gallant of Summerside and formerly of New Annan, P.E.I., aged 72 years. Frank was born in St. Edwards,P.E.I. on July 22nd , 1934 to his parents , the late Solomon & Jane ( nee Arsenault ) Gallant.
Survived by his brothers & sisters: Chester ( Miriam ),Fred ( Arlene ),Wilbert ( Eva ) all of New Annan, Doris ( Elwood ) Smallman of O'leary, Emily ( Jim ) Murphy of St. Eleanors, Florence ( Elmer ) Richard of Magdalene Islands, Quebec and Gary of New Annan. Also lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister Loretta and brother-in-law Roland Murphy and his brother John Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home,245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, then to the Holy Family Church, Kensington for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in St. Mary's-Holy Family Cemetery,Indian River. Memorial donations in Frank's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday evening only , 7 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
