Obituary of MacLeod, Lillian Annie
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital,Summerside on Monday, June 25th , 2007 of Lillian Annie MacLeod ( nee Pye ) of Belmont, aged 81 years. Lillian was born on January 22nd , 1926 in Victoria West,
P.E.I. to her parents, the late George & Ada ( nee Reeves ) Pye.
Beloved wife of the late Norman MacLeod and loving mother of Allan ( Tillie ) of Belmont, Austin ( Florina ) of St. Eleanors and David of Belmont . Also lovingly remembered by her 5 grandchildren,Whitney, Jason, Rodney, Dwayne & Kent along with her 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brothers & sisters : Janie Crossman of Bedeque, Muriel Thompson of S'side, June ( Ralph ) Peck of Ont. , Charles ( Bea ) Pye of Ch'town, Clare ( Don ) Jones of Moncton , N.B., Carl ( Jennie ) Pye of Ch'town, Sharon ( Richard ) MacNeill of North Rustico and Lorne ( Barb ) Pye of S'side.
Besides her parents and her husband, Lillian was predeceased by her sister Blanche Enman ,her brothers Earl, Stanley and Vans Pye and her step-mother Dena Pye.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd.,Summerside. Funeral Thursday at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9. Interment to take place in the Lot 16 United Church Cemetery, Lot 16. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lillian's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
