Obituary of Johnson, Ruth Lillian
The death occurred peacefully with family by her side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, September 19th, 2007 of Ruth Lillian Johnson ( nee Simpson ) of Summerside and formerly of Belmont, Lot 16 in her 98th year. Ruth was born in Belmont , P.E.I. on October 31st , 1909 to her parents, the late Fulton & Eleanor ( nee Taylor ) Simpson. Beloved wife of the late Aage Johnson.
Loving mother of Lillian MacLean of Ch'town, Allison ( Thelma ) of Belmont and Ken ( Pam ) of Brechin, On.. Also lovingly remembered by her 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren , and numerous nieces & nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband, Ruth was predeceased by her daughter Pauline Reeves, her sisters Minnie Barrett & Gertrude Webster and her sons-in-law Miller MacLean, Walter Reeves & Norman Reeves.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, September 22nd for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
Memorial donations in Ruth's memory to the Belmont Baptist Church or to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
