Obituary of Arsenault, Gary Wilfred
Arsenault : The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, October 2nd , 2007 of Gary Wilfred Arsenault of 157 Ryan St. Summerside, aged 52 years. Gary was born in Summerside on February 1st , 1955 to his parents the late Clifford and Leona (Arsenault) Arsenault.
Beloved husband of Monique (nee Arsenault) Arsenault and dear father of
Nicole and his grandson Briley. Also lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters Judy (the late Reggie) Collicutt, Summerside, Connie Oakes (Dave Whynacht) Bridgewater, NS; Gordie, Ronnie of Summerside, and numerous nieces & nephews. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Jean-Pierre and Alfreda Arsenault, Cape, Egmont, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Simone (Arthur) Arsenault, Michel (Anne) Arsenault, George (Louise) Arsenault, Marie (Reginald) Maddix, Colette (Louis) Richard and Jacques Arsenault. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother-in-law Reggie Collicutt.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday October 4th , then to St. Paul's Church for funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery. Memorial donations in Gary's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Palliative Care Unit at Prince County Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Visiting
hours on Wednesday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
