Obituary of Perry, Joan Marie
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, January 29th, 2008 of Joan Marie Perry ( nee Arsenault ) of 503 MacEwen Road,Summerside,aged 72 years. Joan was born in Summerside ,P.E.I. on June 11th , 1935 to her late parents Matthew & Mary Roselyn Arsenault. She was also predeceased by her step-father Arthur Perry.
Beloved wife of the late Cedric Perry and loving mother of Michael ( Faye )Perry, Barbara Perry ( Eldon Gallant ) , Vicky ( Hoss ) MacKinnon, Douglas Perry all of Summerside & Lisa ( Glen ) Clow of Miscouche. Another son David Allen died at birth. Also survived by her six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews,the following brothers & sisters: Zita ( Ken ) Phillips, Matt ( Lorraine ) Arsenault, Floyd ( Eva ) Arsenault & John Robert ( Pat ) Arsenault and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Mildred ( Edward ) Gallant & Madelyne Perry.
Besides her parents and her husband,Joan was predeceased by her sisters Alma ( Ron ) Saddler & Yvonne ( Don ) Richard, her brother-in-law Joseph ( Mary )Perry and her sister-in-law Edna ( Alphonse ) Arsenault.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, February 1st , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Joan's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. No visiting hours by personal request.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
