Obituary of Power, George Emmett
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Thursday, April 3rd , 2008 of George Emmett Power , formerly of Miscouche, aged 70 years. George was born in Miscouche , P.E.I. on October 9th , 1937 to his late parents , Emmett & Maude ( nee Connick ) Power.
Survived by his brothers & sisters : Arnold ( Betty ) of Miscouche, Mary ( Ernie ) Clow of Slemon Park & Florence ( Richard ) of S'side . Also lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Linda Power of Miscouche & his nieces & nephews.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his brother Jim & special friend Aggie MacWilliams.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, April 7th , 2008 then to St. John the Baptist Church , Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in George's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. John the Baptist Church Renovation Fund would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
