Obituary of Arsenault, Catherine Ann
Arsenault : The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving
family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, June
11th, 2008 of Catherine Ann (nee Martin) Arsenault, of Summerset
Manor and formerly of Summerside , P.E.I., aged 83 years. Catherine was born
in St. Felix P.E.I. on December 13th , 1924 to her late parents, Marin and Auxulie(Buote) Martin. Beloved wife of 66 years of the late Fidele Arsenault (died May 4, 2008).
Loving mother of David (Sandra), Jimmy (Norma), and Alvin (Eleanor), all of Summerside and grandmother of Randy, Ann, Susan, Toby, Candace and Ryan. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren , her sisters Edna Arsenault, Andrew's Lodge and Mary Ellen Gallant, Toronto, Ont. and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Joseph and Edward Martin and by her sisters Louise Casey and Edna(infancy).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, June 14th , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Visiting hours Friday, 2-4 and 7-9. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Catherine's memory to the Summerset Manor would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
