Obituary of Bridges, Nicholas "Nick" Albert
The death suddenly at his late residence, 835 Read Drive, Summerside, P.E.I., on Friday, August 1, 2008 of Nicholas 'Nick' Albert Bridges, aged 25 years.
Nick was born in Summerside P.E.I. on May 19, 1983 to his parents Albert and Sondra Bridges. Beloved common law spouse of Jessica Hippenstall. He is also survived by his brother Brian 'Skip' (Amber Slaunwhite) Bridges, his sister Ashley (Shaun Gallant) Bridges and his nephew Lyncolm Bridges, all of Summerside. Also his grandfather Brenton Cochrane, Alberton.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Leona Cochrane and Henry and Agatha Bridges.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 am. Interment in St. Brigid's Cemetery, Foxley River. Visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9. Memorial donations in Nick's memory to the Nick Bridges Funeral Expenses Fund or to the P.E.I. Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
