Obituary of Boyles, James " Jimmy " Olen
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday, October 24th, 2008 of James Olen ( Jimmy ) Boyles of Summerside and formally of West Devon , P.E.I., aged 49 years.Jimmy was born in O'leary , P.E.I. on January 20th, 1959.
Beloved son of Ruth Boyles ( nee Ramsay ) & the late Ambrose Boyles. Brother of Arnold Ramsay of Milton, On., Diane ( Rudy ) Palovick of Alberta, Cecil Boyles of B.C., Debra Burgoyne of S'side, Donald ( Brenda ) Boyles of West Devon & David Boyles of S'side. Also remembered by his sister-in-law Catherine Faye Boyles of S'side and several nieces & nephews.
Besides his father, Jimmy was predeceased by his grandparents, Thomas & Annie Boyles & Myrtle & Leigh Paugh, his sister-in-law Hazel Boyles and his brother-in-law Willard Burgoyne .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in West Devon Baptist Cemetery. Visiting hours on Monday , 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Jimmy's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
