Obituary of Gorrill, " Lloyd " Cecil Chester
The death occurred peacefully & surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital , Summerside on Thursday, October 30th , 2008 of 'Lloyd' Cecil Chester Gorrill of Miscouche and formerly of Summerside, P.E.I. , aged 65 years. Lloyd was born on January 30th , 1943 in St. Eleanors , P.E.I. to his late parents Ernest & Elva ( nee Stewart ) Gorrill.
Beloved husband of Gladys ( nee Doucette ) Gorrill and loving father of Donna Gorrill of Sask., Debbie Coughlin ( Jimmy Dawson ) of S'side and Scott of Halifax, N.S.. Also lovingly remembered by his 4 grandchildren Jeremy Coughlin ( Stacey Arsenault ),Josh & Jessica Coughlin & Chad McCormick , his 1 great-grandson Trace Coughlin , his sons-in-law Tommy McCormick & Leonard Coughlin along with several nieces & nephews. Survived by his sisters Jean Parnham of S'side, his brothers Alvin ( Sally ) of Truro, N.S. & Robert ( Linda ) of Ottawa, On.and his sister-in-law Diane Gorrill of River Herbert , N.S. .
Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his sister Marion Crowe & his brother Harold Gorrill.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, Nov. 3rd than to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Sunday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Lloyd's memory to St. John the Baptist Church or Port Hill Anglican Church Restoration Funds or the Oncology Unit of the Prince County Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
