Obituary of Kinsman, " Douglas " Wayne John
The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Halifax, N.S. on Friday, October 31st , 2008 of 'Douglas' Wayne John Kinsman of Oyster Bed Bridge, P.E.I. and formerly of Dartmouth, N.S. ,aged 51 years. Douglas was born in London, Ontario on September 11th,1957 to his late parents, Douglas & Shirley Mae ( nee Boudreau ) Kinsman.
Beloved father of Samantha Masters ( Mark Weir ) of Cornwall, P.E.I. , Anita Masters of New Glasgow and Alishia Kinsman of Cornwall. Also lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Shelbie Weir-Masters. Survived by his sister Myrna & his brother Butch of Nova Scotia.
Besides his parents, Douglas was predeceased by his sister Donna.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road,Summerside until Saturday, November 15th for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 P.M. . Following cremation , interment will take place at a later date. No visiting hours by personal request. Memorial donations in Douglas' memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
