Obituary of Pineau, Leona Theresa
The death occurred peacefully & surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday, November 10th , 2008 of Leona Theresa Pineau ( nee Arsenault ) of Summerside, aged 78 years. Leona was born on October 31st , 1930 in Egmont Bay to her late parents, Victorin & Eufreda ( nee Gaudet ) Arsenault.
Beloved wife of Ivan Pineau and loving mother of David ( Janet ) , Paula ( Darrell ) Arsenault , Donnie ( Karen ) , Susan ( Joe ) MacIntrye , Dennis ( Barb ) all living in Summerside and Allan ( Sonia ) of St. George, N.B. Also lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren: Christopher, Ryan, Spencer, Jordan, Nathan, Jillian, Danielle, Jessica & Grace, also 1 great-grandchild Amani and several nieces & nephews. Survived by the following brothers & sisters : Ned ( Arnie ) Arsenault of Bathurst , N.B., Percy ( Gina )Arsenault of Montreal, Qu., Louis ( Evelyne ) Arsenault of St. Chrysostome , Antoinette ( Ivan ) Arsenault of Wellington, Jackie ( Melvin ) Gallant of St.Chrysostome, Marie Arsenault of S'side & Lucia ( Edmond ) Arsenault of St. Chrysostome .
Besides her parents, Leona was predeceased by her sister Irene Bilodeau and her brothers Raymond, Edgar & Leonard Arsenault.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, November 14th then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M..Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Leona's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
