Obituary of Arsenault, Stella Ann
The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside on Thursday, December 4th , 2008 of Stella Ann Arsenault ( nee Poirier ) of Summerside, aged 100 years. Stella was born on June 20th, 1908 in Mont Carmel, P.E.I. to her late parents, Phillip & JulieAnne ( nee Gallant ) Poirier. Beloved wife of the late Edward ( Eddie ) Arsenault and loving mother of Anna ( Don ) Doucette of S'side. Also lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren & 9 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Survived by her sister Antoinette ( Melvin ) Gallant of Fredericton N.B., her daughter-in-law Shirley Arsenault of S'side and her sisters-in-law Aline & Anita Poirier of S'side.
Besides her parents & husband, Stella was predeceased by her children Mary ( Cletus ) Gallant, Ernest , Clarence , Anita Arsenault, her grandson Michael Arsenault and the following brothers & sisters : Willie, Ben, Ernie, John, Pascal, Ulric, Alban, Zennie, Bertha, Regina, Clara & Janie.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, December 8th then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 A.M.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Stella's memory to the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
