Obituary of Poirier, Edward Louis

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, March 25th , 2009 of Edward Louis Poirier of Summerside, aged 89 years. Edward was born on July 15th , 1919 in Mont Carmel, P.E.I. to his late parents, Frank & Madeline ( nee Arsenault ) Poirier . Beloved husband of the late Yvonne ( nee Arsenault ) Poirier and loving father Irene Arsenault of S'side . Also lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Stacy Arsenault ( Jeremy Coughlin ) , his great-grandchildren Ciara ,Harper & Trace and several nieces & nephews. Besides his wife & his parents, Edward was predeceased by his brothers & sisters. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, then to St. Paul's Church, S'side for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Edward's memory to St. Paul's Church Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. .
