Obituary of Murray, Gerald William
With deep sadness, the family of Gerald William Murray of Cape Traverse, P.E.I. announce his sudden passing at the Prince County Hospital on July 28th, 2009.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Myrna (Green) Murray and his children Maureen of Bermuda, Rodney (Carla), Kara, Shallyn, Colin & Cassie, Brian (Charlene), Kelsey and William of Calgary, Kent (Jane), Matthew, Emily, Rachel of Summerside, Kyle (Jennifer), Rebecca, Ryan and Garrett of Augustine Cove, Leanne (Wayne) MacWilliams, Jordan, Zachary and Gemma of Vegriville, Ab., and Andrew and his son Tanner of Calgary; brothers and sisters Jack (Edie) of Edmonton, Ab., Betty Richard of Kleinberg, On., Ruth (Emmett) Adam of Kingston, On. and twin sister Elaine (Frank) Murphy of Brampton, On., his sisters-in-law Helen Murray of Borden-Carleton & Iris Murray of Bowmanville, On.. Brother-in-law of Gerald & Brenda Green , Barry & Beth Green all of Central Bedeque, Elaine & Bill Noonan of Charlottetown, Eric & Juanita Green of Edmonton, Ab., as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his infant daughter Sally Jean, his parents James & Marie Murray and his brothers Mervin, Arnold, Louis, Thomas and Justin.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, August 1st , then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church Cemetery. Visiting hours on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
