Obituary of Riddell, Earl Garfield

The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by family & friends at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Friday, August 21st, 2009 of Garfield 'Earl' Riddell of Summerside, P.E.I. & formerly of Ottawa, On. , aged 72 years. Earl was born on June 9th, 1937 in Sudbury, On. to his late parents Earl & Marion ( nee Davis ) Riddell. Beloved husband of Marie ( nee LeTourneau ) Riddell and loving father of Joanne ( Ken ) Lejeune of Nepean, On. and Robert 'Bobby' of Ottawa, On.. Also lovingly remembered by his step-daughters Sharon Troy of Ottawa, On. & Patricia ( Jacques ) Cote of Orleans, On. and loving grandfather to Bradley & Jennifer and step-grandfather to Jessica, James, Buddy, Katie, Jeremie, Frederick & Sara. Survived by his sister Jean ( Bob ) Smith of Burlington, On. & many nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Earl was predeceased by his sister Connie ( Bill ) Johnston. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, August 25th , 2009 for a memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. . Interment to take place at a later date in Bellevue Cemetery, Alymer, Quebec. Memorial donations in Earl's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
