Obituary of Milligan, Arthur Wesley
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, July 8th, 2010 of Arthur Wesley Milligan of Summerside, aged 75 years. Arthur was born on June 10th, 1935 in Bedeford, P.E.I. to his parents Helen Milligan Brown ( Grant ) & the late Arthur Milligan.
Survived by his sister Phyllis ( Brad ) MacInnis and his foster sister Mae ( Haddon ) Mellish all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by several nieces & nephews.
Besides his father, Arthur was predeceased by his step-father Edgar Brown, his brother Victor, his grandparents Russell & Margaret Grant and Major & Belle Milligan and his special niece Nancy Voutour ( MacInnis ) .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday July 10th, then to St. Mary's Anglican Church, Summerside for funeral service at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours on Friday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Arthur's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
