Obituary of Mayhew, Brian Carl
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday, January 16th , 2011 of Carl 'Brian' Mayhew of Lady Fane , P.E.I. , aged 58 years. Brian was born on January 23rd , 1952 in Charlottetown , P.E.I. to his parents Carl Mayhew of Lady Fane and Ella Mayhew-Smith of Inkerman.
Beloved husband of Dorothy ( nee Hickox ) Mayhew and loving father of Connie Sinclair of Kinkora and Tammy Mayhew ( Randy Ward ) of Shamrock. Also lovingly remembered by his 4 grand-children Chris, Ashley Dawn, Nyomi and Cody, 1 great-grandchild Landon and many nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters : Alan ( Maxine ) of Halifax, N.S., Michelle ( Leonard ) Shepherd of Charlottetown, Shirley Mayhew of Shamrock, Dale of Lady Fane, Lyndon ( Norma ) of Crapaud and Janet ( Wayne ) Foy of Inkerman.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, January 19th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in Tryon People's Cemetery, Tryon at a later date. Visiting hours on Tuesday , 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Brian's memory to the Funeral Expense Fund would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
