Obituary of MacArthur, Robert " Eldon "

PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGES FOR VISITING HOURS AND FUNERAL SERVICE DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER The death occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John , N.B. on Tuesday , January 25th , 2011 of Robert 'Eldon' MacArthur of Tyne Valley and formerly of Northam, P.E.I. , aged 81 years. Eldon was born on November 3rd , 1929 in Northam, P.E.I. to his late parents, Horace & Wilna ( nee Millar ) MacArthur. Beloved husband of Jean ( nee Rayner ) MacArthur and loving father of Donald ( Cindy ) of Lot # 16 and Douglas ( Kathy ) of Northam. Also lovingly remembered by 8 grandchildren : Jason, Tanya, Colin, Pamela, Tanner, Tammy, Jody and Kevin, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Survived by his sister Priscilla ( Ira ) Strongman of Summerside and his brother Ronald ( Shirley ) of Northam. Besides his parents, Eldon was predeceased by his sister Joan and brother Clifford. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.. Interment to take place in the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Friday afternoon only , from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service. Memorial donations in Eldon's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
