Obituary of MacInnis, Jennifer

It is with sadness, we announce the passing of our mother and stepmother, Jennifer MacInnis (Thomas) of Summerside, PEI, age 82 who died peacefully on June 29, 2022 at Prince County Hospital. Jennifer was born in Bath, England. She was the daughter of the late Capt. George Thomas and Irene Thomas. Jennifer's family was from Wales and relocated to Canada after WW2. Jennifer was the beloved partner of David Meldrum, who was the love of her life through their later years. Jennifer leaves behind her daughter, Suzanne Friolet (Bertrand), and son, David Jank (Sharon). Jennifer was also stepmother to Daniel MacInnis (Cindy), Michael MacInnis (Lesley) and the late Nancy Jane MacInnis. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Ashley Friolet, Devon Friolet (Stephanie), Cambria Jank, Kimberley Wood (Brad), Nicholas MacInnis (Eryn), Jenna MacInnis, Luke MacInnis, and great grandchildren, Charlotte Wood and Audrey Wood. Survived by her brother David Thomas (Myrna) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband, Peter Jank, and second husband Ralph MacInnis. Jennifer was a medical secretary most of her working career. She had great passion for family history and sharing stories that reflected her past. Jennifer was an avid reader, writer of poetry and loved to sketch in her spare time. She love of sailing created many tales and comical experiences throughout her lifetime, which she was always eager to share. Thank you to staff at Prince County Hospital. Resting at the east Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd. Summerside, PE. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. A gathering later at the Wing Legion, Summerside and private family burial will be held. In Lieu of flowers, donations to PCH in Summerside in Jennifer's name would be appreciated.
